Key Responsibilities Of This Position Include
Partner with Region, Product and Segment heads generate, evaluate, select and drive cross GTS innovations which align to the single goal for GTS.
Develop thoughtful recommendations on innovation initiatives and disruptive technologies/companies and effectively communicate the business logic and go-to-market plan to senior leadership
Lead and/or influence the innovation strategies and tactics across functional groups and/or within a product group. Requires leading cross-functional teams to ensure that the product management effort is integrated with sales, technology, implementation, and servicing.
Contribute to (in writing and/or with supporting analysis) the development of innovation initiatives by understanding macro-business trends and identifying the right value drivers and metrics to develop new business models and capabilities.
Support the Head of Innovation in leading the cross-GBAM blockchain team.
Along with GBS/GIS, identify and build a set of progressive clients to form an Innovation Advisory Board to uncover future client needs and use as a sounding board for new capabilities and concepts
Present BAML’s innovation vision and though leadership directly to clients and through conferences, industry workshops.
Required Skills
Must have the ability to understand emerging technologies and drive conclusions from independent research and operate in ambiguity
Must have an understanding of blockchain and distributed ledger technology.
Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and an excellent understanding of financial technology within a business context
Must have 5-10 years experience at a Technology/FinTech company or venture capital firm or
Must be able to present to senior level executives and business partners, demonstrating good verbal and clear
communication skills
Must have ability to work in a fast paced, cross-functional environment
Must have experience with emerging technologies and in non-US markets
Must have strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Must have ability to travel as needed
Desired Skills:
MBA or higher
Experience working in an Innovation role within a large financial institution
Entrepreneurial experience
Business background regarding Payment systems/integration with banking products
New product development background
Computer Science Degree
