Director Investment Intel Santa Clara

Job Description:
The Corporate Equity Dealmaker is part of a small team who finds, develop, define, and close equity investments and acquisitions in order to met strategic needs and objectives of various technology sectors within Intel Capital. Incumbents are responsible for 1) identifying and screening potential deals and equity investments, 2) advising management about the merits of potential deals, 3) obtaining internal agreement on negotiating positions and strategies, 4) ensuring that the terms of any deal make business sense for Intel, and 5) acting as part of the external negotiating team. The individual will be responsible for deals from initiation through closing, and post closing monitoring. This position requires a high degree of interaction with organizations outside the company at the executive level, and will require frequent travel. Strong understanding of content and service business models.

Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously. Strong networking, negotiating and marketing skills are essential. Development and negotiation of contracts involving intellectual property. Experience developing and/or negotiating contracts involving software, content and/or services are required.

1) Prior experience in software, services, technology, and venture capital investing is required. Minimum of 5 years of venture investing experience.
2) Understand emerging technology trends. Ability to identify diverse sources of information inside and outside Intel and develop an understanding of the market from their composite pieces
3) Lead technical due diligence and technology evaluation of pipeline companies
4) Solid understanding of financial modeling and emerging technologies. Clear and concise communication with stakeholders
5) Understanding Intel's strategy and vision as it pertains the Intel product groups & Intel Capital's impact on the aforementioned
6) Marketing and Business Development Skills - Identifying new, relevant companies that we can partner with by investing or acquiring and helping them to scale their businesses and to achieve a profitable exit
7) Sourcing and closing equity deals, and completing due diligence, valuation assessment, deal negotiations, recommendations, for equity investments
8) Bachelor and Master degrees in business and/or technical disciplines is required.
