Job Description:
• Direct the finance organization in all activities necessary to appropriately invoice, manage, collect and resolve annual receivables of $1.0 billion, comprised of Maersk Line’s U.S. government customers including the U.S. military, U.S Agency for International Development (USAID), the U.S. Department of State, Military Household Goods Carriers, and Foreign Military Sales
• Provide leadership for NAM U.S. Government Finance colleagues, as well as Maersk Line colleagues globally, including the Global Service Centers, involved in supporting the global efforts for this customer segment.
• Maximize process improvement and efficiency for all finance activities related to the U.S. government customer segment
• Develop substantial business relationships with key internal and external customers in accordance with the NAM business plan.
• Ensure consistent contractual compliance with the U.S. military’s Universal Service Contract (USC), and all other governmental business contracts
• Establish policy and procedure across multiple complex operational and finance functions.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the multiple finance activities and take appropriate actions to ensure these KPIs are met.
• Ensure all appropriate and necessary audit and financial controls are in place and monitored regularly to minimize business and financial risks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws/regulations
• Works with CFO and commercial leaders to drive improved performance

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree required; successful background in leadership role required
• Experience in complex U.S. contract compliance required
• Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and audit experience required
• End to end knowledge of revenue and collection processes a plus
• Shipping experience would be a plus
• Position will require approximately 25% travel
