Job Description:
As Director, Corporate Relations - ExEd, you will implement the overall strategy for corporate outreach and business development activities of Harvard Business School (HBS) Executive Education for key clients and prospects in assigned industries based in North America in this high profile externally-oriented role.
Key Responsibilities
Implement business development strategy for Executive Education in the region, focusing on organizations with the highest current and potential ExecEd participation.
Foster and maintain sustainable productive relationships with senior executives in companies and organizations of interest, leading to increased participation in Executive Education programs in Boston, China, India and Europe.
Help ensure all ExecEd programs have a robust pipeline of participants from the region, balancing relevant criteria such as the mix of companies, industries, geography, etc. to create an optimal experience for faculty and program participants.
Develop a deep understanding of the North American executive development market, particularly Open Enrollment programs, and how to create clarity around the distinctive value HBS programs offer.
Develop a deep understanding of leadership development requirements of regional organizations and companies, and their overall business challenges and report findings to other Boston-based colleagues at regular intervals.
Develop collaborative working relationships with Executive Education, Global Initiative, HBS, HBP and HBX professionals in the corporate relations functions.

Basic Qualifications
This position reports to the Managing Director, Global Corporate Relations & Market Development. This position requires a team player with the willingness and ability to work with multiple groups within executive education in a fast-paced, high energy environment. BA/BS or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred. Minimum of 10-12 years of proven success in a business development or sales and marketing leadership role required. This position requires superb oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to identify, establish and maintain relationships with senior executives. The ability to think quickly in high-pressure situations and deliver the executive education message to the appropriate audience is critical. Extensive regional travel required (~50%).
