Plans and implements activities for achieving the organization's legislative objectives to include: Developing, implementing and maintaining policies and programs to ensure the organization's awareness of and impact on federal and state legislation that affect its activities. Plans, coordinates and implements strategies to promote the organization's point of view to federal and state legislators and regulators. Directing the analysis of legislative bills to determine impact on AT&T and appropriate action. Establish and maintain contacts with key legislators/government officials, business leaders, and civic/community leaders. Directing the presentation of company positions to elected officials, third party stakeholders and company officers, executives, and managers.
Directs lobbying activities and implements AT&T's External Affairs activities and community relations positioning for achieving the organization's legislative, regulatory and operational objectives. Directs and participates in maintaining contacts with key civic, government, community, and business leaders to ensure understanding and support for company objectives. Directs the planning and implementation of AT&Ts foundation grants, contributions, subscriptions, and memberships to help the company meet its stakeholder objectives. Directs grassroots programs for federal/state legislative activities to generate constituent support for company objectives. Supports regulatory interactions with Federal/State regulatory commissions. Typically reports to third or senior level management.
