Job Description
The ideal candidate has strong business, technology and financial skills and a desire for understanding technologies and business strategies relevant to Dell. Relevant financial skills include financial statement analysis, capital structuring, financial modeling and investment analysis. Relevant business skills include: market, product and technology assessment, management team assessment, business, financial and investment planning. Candidates must demonstrate resourcefulness in sourcing information to evaluate technologies or strategies, including leveraging internal and external relationships.

Key responsibilities include:
Partnering with Dell business units in support of strategic initiatives including identification of investment priorities
Identification of emerging technologies and companies relevant to Dell
Completing market, product, technology, management team, financial and investment/valuation of potential investment and partnership candidates
Maintaining relationships with venture capital, private equity and strategic investors and entrepreneurs
Supporting outreach events and activities targetting the entrepreneurial ecosystem of VCs and startups such VC visits and road shows, domain days and partner days
Ownership and maintenance of key Dell Ventures tools, models and process materials
Developing expertise in specific verticals, market segments and/or technologies relevant to Dell’s strategic initiatives and/or business.
10+ years of experience in some combination of experience with a venture capital, private equity or corporate venture operation, a role in a strategic management consulting firm and/or an operating role in an emerging technology company
Technical or business undergraduate degree and/or MBA preferred.
