Director Ambulatory Operations UHS King of Prussia

Job Description
he Director of Ambulatory Operations will be responsible directly to the Vice President, Ambulatory Care for the Acute Care Division at UHS. The territory will encompass all UHS Acute Division markets and all ambulatory service lines, which will specifically include ambulatory surgery centers, radiologic imaging centers, radiologic oncology treatment centers, freestanding emergency departments, high acuity urgent care facilities, home health care, telemedicine, wound care, physical therapy rehabilitation, retail pharmacies and more as they come online. This executive position enjoys close partnership with hospital C-level positions and corporate department leadership providing the right candidate a unique opportunity to quickly effect systemic change across one of the fastest growing sectors in healthcare today. The current opportunity will be based out of UHS Headquarters in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and moderate to low frequency travel between that and other locations may be required.

Key Responsibilities
Achieve critical operational insight across all UHS ambulatory service lines
Analytically determine key quality and operational metrics and establish trend tracking mechanisms with reporting monthly, quarterly and annually
Continuously report on network performance and variance to benchmark goals
Recommend and oversee national strategic growth and operational improvement initiatives
Conduct operational and customer experience analyses to determine growth and service excellence opportunities across all UHS ambulatory service lines
Present compelling and coherent project proposals to senior management to further develop and/or refresh the division's strategic plan
Implement strategies and business plans to drive the organization's growth initiatives
Spearhead projects to enhance ambulatory operational quality and efficiency across all acute markets and ambulatory service lines
Take ownership on cross-functional/cross departmental performance improvement initiatives Effectively manage national network integration activities
Manage integration of de novo and acquisition facilities into network
Manage coordination initiatives among ambulatory services as well as between ambulatory and inpatient services
Maintain relevant perspective on rapidly changing healthcare marketplace
Maintain an accurate sense of the healthcare delivery market relative to the division's strategic goals
Keep informed of innovations and trends in integrated healthcare delivery, competitor activities, and changes in healthcare regulatory requirements, which could impact the viability of potential new business ventures and relationships

Education:
MBA or relevant equivalent graduate degree Ideal

Demonstrated leadership and initiative in healthcare service excellence and business growth
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Comprehensive knowledge of hospital and integrated health system operations
Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior executives
Unimpeachable integrity, work ethic, respectful demeanor and inclusive collaborative approach
