Director Sales Joyus San Francisco

Job Description
We are looking for a director of sales who will be responsible for selling the Joyus marketing service to consumer brands in the U.S. As a leader within the business development team, you will develop the consumer brand sales strategy and drive key initiatives to achieve sales objectives and targets. As the company continues to grow, you will also be responsible for hiring and developing your own sales team. This position reports to the VP of Business Development. Responsibilities • Achieve annual revenue and gross margin plans by implementing business development strategies against the consumer brand channel
• Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new vendors • Maintain repeat sales volume by developing a relationship with vendors, including integrated sales products that support both of our strategic goals • Monitor, report and analyze performance to partners and internal teams • Develop and forecast sales pipeline • Work cross-functionally with merchandising, production, marketing and operations team to drive sales of vendor products • Shape the direction of the business development organization and be a key contributor to our sales strategy and execution • Over time, we expect the right person will grow and manage a team of sales executive and account managers

Qualifications Candidates Should Possess • Must have at least 5 years of proven success developing sales channels, achieving targets, developing a sales pipeline, and executing against sales goals • A demonstrated track record as a successful individual contributor • Must have consumer brand market knowledge and relationships, and be skilled at negotiation, selling to customer needs, sales planning, building relationships, and developing and managing processes pre and post sale • Bias towards exceeding expectations and taking leadership • Strong and clear communication and presentation skills • Demonstrated success in performing well under time constraints with limited resource • B.S./B.A. in business, communications, or marketing preferred
