WebMD is seeking experienced product management leader to help drive development and implementation of innovative, multi-screen (with “mobile first” focus) digital sponsorship and native ad products optimized to deliver information from our clients to global consumer audience. Successful candidate, strong leader with passion for creating amazing digital experiences, is expected to demonstrate a sweet-spot of digital product, technical, business and UX expertise, coupled with proven track record of acting as effective organizational leader. Director of Product Management will lead and mentor the team of product managers, and collaborate with seasoned business leaders to define product needs and then works hand-in-glove with engineering and project teams to bring the product roadmap to life.
The successful candidate will:
Lead the development of new products, features and enhancements across commercial products portfolio for webmd.com
Improve our customer and readers’ experiences and interactions with our products through the use of metrics and research
Drive product prioritization and product management methodology for the business working with internal stakeholders
Regularly use customer feedback, metrics, market trends, and competitive analysis to help create premium web products and features that delights readers and advertisers alike
Closely follow emerging technologies and industry trends particularly in mobile, video, social and user engagement; have a strong grasp of online business models and work effectively and enthusiastically across multiple departments to accomplish goals
Establish strong, productive and collaborative internal relationships with business and sales leaders, engineering leaders and organization executives;
Be a passionate advocate for our products and possess the strongest communication and presentation skills
Desired Skills and Experience
8+ years managing digital products, preferably for a major media company or agency
4+ years directly managing product management team or organization
Demonstrated success in creating and improving innovative online products
Experience working closely and collaboratively with design, engineering, operations, editorial and advertising teams
Strong technical background and deep familiarity with agile development
Strong organizational skills, self-motivator and highly responsible
