Responsibilities

The purposeful positioning framework, led by the Chief Marketing Office, is creating an end-to-end integrated digital ecosystem, where mobile channel is the center of how Verizon customers interact with us.

In this critical role, the Director Digital Technology Architect will partner closely with the CMO office, and provide industry expertise required to move Verizon to a Mobile First engagement company.
The leader will shape, guide and steer the direction of the company’s digital platforms. As Architect of Innovation & Solutions for Digital Ecosystem, this leader will be responsible for establishing standards and creating re-usable architectural components that the design and development teams will use to address evolving challenges along with the evolution of technology and its openness. The leader will create end to end customer experience architecture and partner with IT teams to develop an integrated customer experience.
Work with various functional IT director SPOCs & business stakeholders to build digital ecosystems using the latest tools and technologies and identify the use of open-source and custom software components that are built based on the vision and mission of organization and architecture that is extensible and near-future proof. Apply advanced architecture skills and experience in principals of strategy and transformation to define appropriate customer solutions to reach their business outcomes.. Land new approaches and innovative solutions in conjunction with other Verizon groups that drive towards a business beneficial customer outcome. The role requires both broad and deep architecture practices, knowledge related to transformation and solutions as well as the ability to architect solutions by mapping common customer problems to technology solutions in the mobility space. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level business and technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and end to end solutions is also a must.
Abstract the complexity of systems into a manageable model that describes the essence of a system by exposing important details and significant constraints. S/he will maintain control over the architecture lifecycle parallel to the project's software and development lifecycle. S/he will assure the solution architecture stays on course with the overall program and long-term vision of the entire suite of software-based solutions. S/he will make critical decisions that define a specific direction for a system in terms of implementation, operational performance, scalability, usability, fit for purpose, and maintenance.
Architect a frictionless digital ecosystem ensure the shopper’s experience is brilliant, encouraging, and inspiring when they choose to engage.
Create and achieve a desired future state-of-the-art in Verizon's Mobile presence through influence of cross-organizational teams.

Qualifications
Senior professional with a minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
Strong leadership with prior experience leading and managing digital enterprise platform design, development and deployment.
Advanced knowledge of mobile platforms with at least 5 years in a relevant technical position
Critical and creative thinking with ability to execute on the details; outstanding analytical, research and presentation skills
Expert in Web and Mobile Full stack including modern Javascript frameworks, HTML5, CSS Templates, Rest API principles, Caching, Google Analytics, Responsive web design, SEO/SEM strategies. Expert on IOS and Android platforms.
A broad understanding of technology, with specific knowledge of or interest in how technology can be used to transform the way professional and other business services are delivered in the digital ecosystem (knowledge of artificial intelligence, automation, semantic analytics, visualization technologies is a plus)
Ability to seamlessly interact with executives, senior business leaders and their project teams
Superior project management and time management skills. Able to manage autonomously, as well as prioritize as necessary
DevOps tools and technologies in above-mentioned areas
Experience with open-source tools and technologies to replace or integrate with existing systems and architecture that drives and delivers business benefits + superior customer experience
Communicate complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way
