Senior Director - Global Merchandising - adidas Group - Canton
Job description
We are currently seeking a Senior Director for Global Merchandising within our Concept-to-Consumer (CtC) department. The Senior Director of CTC Global Merchandising defines and launches the cross category merchandising strategies for the Reebok brand globally ensuring consistency, strong efficiencies and higher profitability. Additionally the role is responsible for driving the global Retail Space Management (RSM) project ensuring that growth and performance in managed space with our retail partners is optimized.
Responsibilities
Lead the Global Retail Space Management (RSM) project, ensuring Reebok is consistently improving managed space performance at wholesale. Educate and guide identified key local markets on roles and responsibilities, space locations, product mix, space planning, marketing and visual merchandising. Work with key local markets on monthly sell out tracking and creation of ongoing action plans to maximize performance. Strong cross functional alignment required with multiple departments in Reebok HQ, Adidas Group and Markets.
Create the future for RSM, aligning growth plans with Business Planning and Markets.
Drive Global Foundation Range (GFR) success by creating seasonal strategy, product selection, prepare launches, and achieve aligned upon KPIs in order to create a strong global footprint, improve efficiencies and enhance margins across both brand Driving and Commercial collections.
Drive the Global Range Planning Process; ensuring Seasonal Category Range Plans are developed in line with Brand Initiatives and relevant KPIs, and making sure all key cross functional stakeholders are aligned with the plans at Range Plan Kick off (RPR).
Lead Merchandising input at creation milestones, including feedback on range size, overlap, pricing, segmentation, design and color. Ensure Plans are consistent through the season, managing exceptions where required.
Ensure high overlap and consistency between GFR and all other key merchandising initiatives
Maximize the potential of the CIS Responsiveness Project, enabling profitability levers through Planned Responsiveness and use of Western European inventory.
Create clear identity, functional ownership and success criteria for CTC Merchandising Team.
Knowledge Skills And Abilities
Ability to work cross functionally with product, visual merchandising, Finance, Direct-to-Consumer, Sales and Marketing teams in markets and Canton.

Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
Excellent analytical skills and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written language skills in English
Requirements:
Minimum 12 years’ experience in footwear/ apparel merchandising or product management, at least 5 of which were in a management or leadership role
Strong knowledge of global sports retailers, competition and consumers
Knowledge of product creation process
Bachelor degree in related field
Ability to travel internationally (up to 40% of time)
Strong presentation skills (presenting to large groups expected)
Ability to partner with, collaborate with, and influence internal and external business partners
