Director - Global Commerce - Avanade - Seattle


Job description
Leverage Avanade’s market position to identify, organize and develop new business opportunities for Commerce within Avanade's service line organization.

Responsibilities

Market and Offering Definition (35%)
Keep abreast of market trends, competitor offerings, Microsoft and Microsoft ISV ecosystem products and solutions, Accenture initiatives, Avanade field engagements, and thought leadership from our CTIO organization to identify and quantify Commerce opportunities for Avanade service lines

Build business plans to activate Commerce opportunities and offerings including getting investment to support initiatives
Provide domain expertise to various Avanade team members.
Work with the Avanade regions to identify opportunities to harvest reusable assets from customer projects.
Work with Solution Architects to scope new assets and upgrades to our existing assets.
Cultivate a solution ecosystem by identifying and positioning ISVs and other partners required to make a solution succeed in the market.
Work with Avanade management and legal to define licensing, pricing, and maintenance programs for our Commerce solutions.
Solution Evangelism (35%)
Lead efforts to create differentiated value messages for Commerce solutions and create corresponding collateral including solution messaging, sales tools, white papers, and supporting marketing collateral.
Train Avanade field personnel, BDs, GMs, and senior technologists, involved in team selling activities on how to position and sell Avanade Commerce services and offerings.
Work with the Accenture to educate Accenture teams on our solutions, ensure that our offerings meet their needs, and are and appropriately leveraged by Accenture Interactive and Accentur Digital initiatives.
Work with Avanade Business Developers to identify and obtain customer references.
Work with Marketing to create compelling customer Case Studies.
Support Market Profile activities including PR and analyst outreach.
Deliver presentations at Avanade / Microsoft Executive Briefings, Microsoft conferences, Accenture events, and industry events
Support Microsoft marketing needs specific to Microsoft products used in digital marketing solutions such as marketing campaigns and product launches.
Solution Sales (30%)
Identify early adopters for Avanade solutions.
Track and report on the Commerce services and solutions sales pipeline.
Pro-actively support sales opportunities within both Avanade and Accenture to shape and close business.

METRICS
Combination of Sales, Revenue, Readiness, Market Profile Activities, and Involvement in Microsoft and Accenture programs will be used.

Years Of Experience
8+ years' experience leading Commerce product or solution development or a Commerce enterprise consulting practice

Management Experience
5+ years management experience

Education
Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing; Master's degree or MBA preferred

Other Skills/Knowledge
Experience in both B2C and B2B Commerce deployments
Working knowledge of Digital Customer Experience Platforms, Sitecore a strong plus
Understanding of digital strategy and experience design processes and approaches as it relates to Commerce
Experience delivering Commerce in public and hybrid cloud scenarios and potentially as a managed service, Microsoft Azure experience a strong plus
Strong organizational management and influencer skills
Strong writing, presentation and communication skills
Experience building sales and marketing collateral
Familiarity with the software and technology markets is an asset
