IBM Cloud is seeking to hire a Cloud Program Director, Operations for the Bluemix Platform as a Service (PaaS) group. This is a great opportunity for an individual to be a part of a team with IBM?s newest technology. This role will be joining a collaborative, cross-organization environment with a ?whatever-it takes? leadership team. As a Cloud Program Director, Operations, this position requires teamwork to improve the integration and consistency of implementation and operational tools and processes across the Bluemix platform operations, development, support, and DevOps teams.


Responsibilities

Develop strategies, vision and implement technical solutions using operational best practices and top technology to improve stability and reliability across all aspects of the Bluemix platform and Cloud Services
Deliver solutions to improve operational effectiveness and increase scalability of the Operations Team to manage large numbers of Public, Dedicated, and Local Bluemix environments
Provide direction to other IBM Business Units or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to implement new requirements for strategic design of network, security and capacity on a global basis
Provide technical knowledge/expertise and tightly manage technical interaction between SoftLayer and Bluemix local clients on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Bluemix PaaS, and IBM?s Software as a Service (SaaS)
Validate operations techniques by writing software applications and scripts based on strong Cloud Foundry knowledge and application developer skills
May act as an Incident Commander during critical technical outages
Perform root cause analyses and develop action plans from an outage or performance situation and execute tactical and strategic action plans to eliminate future risks
Promote IBM?s competitive advantage and leverage IBM?s technology strengths for reuse and differentiation to help deploy new concepts that will help grow our installed base and revenue with a focus on client experience
General
Bachelor's Degree
At least 2 years experience in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) development and deployment disciplines
At least 6 months experience in Cloud foundry
At least 2 years experience in incident commander role
At least 3 years experience in providing technical direction and steering strategy
Readiness to travel 25% travel annually
English: Fluent
