Director - Communications - CIBER - Dallas
Role Description
The Communications Director creates, implements and manages a communications strategy for the Ciber Practice organizations to align with the overall strategic priorities, goals, objectives and values of the company. This individual develops and delivers digital, oral and written communication across the business unit on behalf of the executive stakeholders. The Communication Director will manage partial or completely the communications campaigns for the leadership team as well as priority projects. In addition, ensures a communications program that is uniform and consistent for an organization with over 6,000 employees across our global locations.
This is a highly visible role within Ciber working directly with the top executives in the company. This role collaborates cross-functionally with global business leaders. The person in this role is a member of the corporate communications and will work closely with Ciber’s Marketing, Sales and Finance teams to define and enhance the Ciber brand.
Key Highlights Of These Duties Include
Establishes and maintains a communications strategy that aligns with the business requirements and overall messaging both internal and external audiences.
Works with leaders to create and shape key messages and communications campaigns ensuring consistent deliverables across these groups as well as to CIber.
Develops, writes, edits and produces communications for internal and external audiences.
Develop, news releases and media alerts
Create targeted media lists for broadcast, print and online outlets
Determines appropriate communications outlets and styles to deliver messages based on the target audience.
Develops, cultivates and maintains internal/external communications channels as assigned
Coordinates internal/external communication events.
Collaborates with marketing to establish consistent communications messages and strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate communications.
Extensive experience resolving internal communications challenges.
Demonstrated experience in independently developing and leading significant communications campaigns.
Advanced knowledge of communications principles and practices, and knowledge of the company's products and solutions.
Excellent time management, decision-making, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
Individual must have experience executing high-impact communications strategies and programs; excellent written (including technical writing) and oral communications skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise deliverables.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks/deadlines and be detail and deadline-oriented. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and partner with multiple teams and functions.
Strong relationship building skills.
