Director - Finance - Software Strategy and Operations - Cisco - San Jose

Reporting to Director of Pricing and Strategy team within Technology and Operations Finance, the Finance Director will partner with the SVP of Software in delivering Cisco’s Software Business Strategy.

Role & Responsibilities
Responsible for driving pricing and licensing activities, lead scenario modeling for long range planning, develop and monitor critical software financial metrics, and assist in executing strategic initiatives across engineering, sales and service leadership. The Finance Director for Software will also oversee portfolio management for Software, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as partner with sales on developing channel programs.

Minimum Qualifications
• An undergraduate degree in Finance is required; advanced business degree (MBA) is preferred.
• 8+ years of software experience managing/supporting a Business Unit / Division / Sales P&L within a large matrixed organization (similar size company and industry experience preferred)
•Quantitative skills, strategic thinking, analytical, problem solver, strong communication skills, collaboration and influencing skills
• Candidate must have experience with FP&A including profitability analysis of XaaS business models.
• Candidate should have demonstrated ability to take an end to end view and drive a shift to cloud delivery models by driving to a comprehensive plan including sales compensation and operations.
• Candidate must have three plus years in a financial leadership role where she/he was responsible for driving pricing and licensing activities, and lead scenario modeling for multi year long range planning within a software or cloud organization.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships with various business entities and drive complex projects cross functionally.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders at various levels within the business to deliver results.

The Director must exhibit strong leadership traits and communication skills. Specifically, the candidate must exhibit the following characteristics:
• Outstanding financial acumen blended with business partnership and leadership.
• Ability to provide sound business judgment, strategic thinking, and broad financial and business perspective across the organization.
• Ability to sort through complex issues and translate and communicate them in a clear, concise Software and Cloud experience is required so they must be from a like company
