Director - Commission Accounting - SanDisk - Milpitas
Job description
Reporting to the Revenue Controller, the Global Commission Director will be responsible for the end to end process of SanDisk’s overall commission administration, calculation, payout and reporting, including commission system implementation and improvement. The Commission Director will partner with sales management and finance controllers regarding annual SIP plan strategy and design and will take the leadership role in partnering with IT and other functional groups to implement global commission systems. This role will lead the global commission process. Responsibilities include: • Partner with sales management, finance controllers in comp plan strategy and design • Work with IT on system implementation and system improvement • Partner with sales management, finance controllers and IT to streamline end to end commission process • Manage and provide ongoing improvement for commission systems including o Streamline dependent systems and tools o
Manage data source flow from different systems o Establish and improve existing system work flow and approval process for the SIP Quota as well as attainment exceptions • Manage the payment process and timelines for global payroll processing in various regions • Partner with sales management, finance controllers in designing and creating commission reporting for sales forces and management Experience: • Expert in sales incentive best practices and strategy in a similar industry with exposure to Retail and OEM channels • Experience leading cross-functional teams to successfully implement enterprise wide initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
This position requires 5-10 years experience in managing and administrating commission calculation, payout, reporting process • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting • Advanced degree preferred The individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment, excellent written and verbal communication skill and must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross- functional teams throughout the organization at different levels. The individual must be hands on and be able to lead and develop the global commission team. The individual must be a team player and will have a proven track record in success in leading cross-functional projects.
