Job description
Corporate Actuarial is seeking a Director to support the VP & Actuary, Capital Modeling on enterprise capital and related best estimate projections.

Corporate Actuarial is a corporate area that collaborates with business/product groups, asset management areas, and other corporate areas such as Controllers, Treasurers, and Enterprise Risk Management. The department represents Prudential on various regulatory and industry actuarial issues and drives various high profile corporate endeavors that will provide the candidate with broad exposure to the "big picture view" of the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
Track capital and best estimate projection requests between Actuarial, Treasurers, Enterprise Risk Management, and Finance
Support the field testing of internal, US, and international capital requirements
Collect, compile, and present aggregate results

Reconcile best estimate liabilities in the capital framework to US GAAP balances
Review business unit documentation of the in force businesses included, cash flow definitions, assumptions, and modeling / systems used in various best estimate projections
Help the business unit actuarial departments implement consistent best estimate liability and capital projections, analysis, and reporting
Assist in the drafting of standards for the best estimate projections used in available and required capital estimates

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or near FSA with 5+ years of actuarial experience
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Exposure to multiple lines of business
Familiarity with insurance accounting, capital frameworks, and financial reporting controls
Project management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to partner with colleagues across multiple business groups and corporate areas
Highly motivated, conceptual thinker who is able to work independently or in a team and take a leadership role in a wide variety of assignments
