Director - Project Management - Hitachi Data Systems - Denver
Job description
This leadership position is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, documenting and communicating the following for Social Innovation initiatives:
• Strategic direction
• Associated long/short range business plans
• Metrics and accountability
All activities require that strategic and tactical objectives have appropriate cross company and cross-functional alignment, commitment and accountability. This position is focused on building a collaborative culture and motivated teams that are dedicated to creating and executing plans that transform HDS and Hitachi.
Key activities will cover:
Implement and oversee strategic planning and business development goals that align with the company business
strategies and ensure successful business outcome.
• Develop strong and strategic relationships within the HDS
• Develop strong and strategic relationships within relevant Hitachi Companies
• Works within a matrix environment to ensure
o Functional Social Innovations teams are fully aligned to strategy and priorities
o All relevant HDS groups and Hitachi Companies are fully aligned to strategy and priorities
o Accountability by all deliverables and metrics
• Communication of strategy, progress, deliverables, metrics and troubleshooting.

Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Functional Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field strongly preferred. MBA preferred.
• Five years, or more, of project management, business operations management, business development, external sales, formal market analysis.
• Experience in public speaking.
• PC skills with strong Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Internet
