Director - Professional Services - Milestone Technologies - San Francisco
Job description
Milestone is seeking a Director of Professional Services who will own and drive our overall professional services strategy and execution. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and Engineering. Responsibilities include:
- Lead an organization that consists of managers in a direct reporting capacity plus engineers and project managers at the individual contributor level.
- Provide excellent customer service to Milestone’s extensive client base that spans the enterprise, SMB, education, and content provider markets.
- Partner with the Sales team to ensure that immediate client needs are addressed
- Work with Sales and Marketing on future staffing needs based on forecasted business.
- Partner with the Managed Services team to ensure successful transition of clients who are migrating to an ongoing Milestone Managed Services program.
- Engage with Milestone’s Portfolio Management function to provide real-time client feedback. Drive continual refinement and development of Milestone’s key service offerings and capabilities.
- Drive the overall strategy for Milestone’s technical capabilities. Continue to develop Milestone’s key technology architecture practice areas: route/switch, wireless, unified communications, and data center.
- Ensure that Milestone meets all of its certification requirements with key strategic technology partners: Cisco, Aruba, and Palo Alto Networks.
- Own and drive key performance indicators for the Professional Services practice, for example, utilization, revenue, expense, and overall practice mark-up.
- Partner with other internal stakeholders as required.

Minimum Requirements:

- 10 years experience in the technology industry
- 3-5 years experience managing diverse, technical teams
- BS/BA or equivalent, preferably in a technical field of study
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Positive attitude, passion, and a strong desire to win
Nice to Haves:
- MS/MA/MBA or equivalent
- Cisco technical certifications (CCNA, CCIE, etc)
