Director - Product, Content Discovery - Ask.com - Oakland
Job description
The role will work closely with teams such as Data Sciences and Search Intelligence, Analytics, UX, Frontend Dev and Content Production to drive product initiatives based on the Content team's goals and user feedback.
This position will report directly to the Sr. Director of Product Management, Content.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Engineering to improve content recommendations that reduce Bounce rate and increase Pageviews/Session
Collaborate with Engineering, Content team, UX and senior executives to write product requirements
Work with marketers to drive increased SEO & Social traffic acquisition
Conduct internal, competitive and user research to identify business opportunities and make business cases for new product initiatives
Review third-party content and technology solutions and make recommendations
Work with UX to develop wireframes and to conduct usability testing
Partner with Engineering and Project Managers to develop products in an agile environment, including Sprint and Roadmap Planning
Partner with QA and Release Planning to ensure organized, on-time releases
Conduct tests to optimize features with the Analytics team
Communicate plans, status, and results to teams and management
Work collaboratively with other Product leaders across the organization
Qualifications
5-10 years of Internet product management experience with previous experience at large content publishers and/or with search and discovery-oriented products (e.g. vertical search products, social media feeds, etc.)
Excellent leadership skills and ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results
Experience managing the production and development of new tools
Ability to work well in a team environment, scrum/Agile experience a plus
Strong communication, written, and presentation skills
