Compliance Director - Bentley Systems - Philadelphia

Job description
Bentley Systems, Incorporated is seeking a Compliance Director to lead the implementation of policies and compliance training programs and engage in communications with interested external parties. Initial priority is data privacy compliance, with other areas of responsibility including anti-corruption, export control and pay-to-play rules.

Responsibilities will include:
Develop approaches and help formulate (or improve) and document compliance policies, working with relevant expertise-groups and stakeholders
Monitor and analyze external requirements and advise on reasonable and appropriate responses
Management communication -- be a source of clarity on why compliance is important and how it serves business interests
Conduct risk assessments
Dock into existing governance structures
Develop and deploy training, education and awareness programs

Define metrics and measure compliance program performance;
Inventory, assess and classify data collected by the Company
Prepare relevant incident-response plans
External messaging on compliance activities
Responding to requests, complaints, inquiries and disclosure-demands about company practices
Oversee third-party compliance
Lead investigations into compliance-related allegations

The Compliance Director will report to the Deputy General Counsel (but operate separately from the Legal Department.) The Compliance Director will also, from time to time, take assignments from and report directly to the Corporate Compliance Committee and the Board of Directors.

Desired Skills and Experience
Compliance expertise, particularly strong knowledge of global data protection laws and regulations
5+ years of experience in a corporate data protection or compliance role
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
A law degree and a Certified International Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification will be considered favorably.
