Director - Finance - SharpShooter Imaging - Wheat Ridge


Job description
The Director of Finance will advise the Owners and senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.

Will contribute to the development of strategic goals and objectives, as well as the overall management of the organization. Will maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the Owners informed of all critical issues.

In addition, will represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly in banking and lease negotiations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, coordinates, and executes the annual budget process.
Ensures adhering to the strategic plan, and delivers status reports to the Owners.
Improves administrative and operational accounting services, such as treasury management, payroll, accounts payable, and purchasing.
Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
Ensures staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
Establishes and monitors staff performance and development goals, assigns accountabilities, sets objectives, establishes priorities, and conducts annual performance appraisals.

Desired Skills and Experience
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting, with an MBA in Business or Marketing desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience. CPA preferred.
Must possess a minimum ten years’ experience in a senior management role, ideally with external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high growth organization.
Knowledge of FAS and MAS90.
Knowledge of FRx highly desired.
Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills, to include negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise.
Entrepreneurial team player, with the ability to multi-task.
Superior management skills, with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
Must possess self-reliance, as well as good problem solving and with a focus on results.
Ability to make decisions in a changing environment, and anticipate future needs.
Excellent and persuasive communicator.
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interface with senior management and staff.
Ability to operate as an effective tactical, as well as, strategic thinker.
Ability to perform in a “hands-on” role, with proven history of success managing and delivering resulting with limited support staff.
Unimpeachable ethical standards, confidentiality, and personal integrity essential.
