About the Role and Responsibilities

Location: Santa Clara, CA

About the Role:


Reporting to the Vice President of Global Operations, the Senior Director of M&A Integration leads the McAfee M&A Integration Management Office, driving value creation by leading synergy execution, as well as functional integrations of McAfee acquisitions. In addition to leading McAfee’s acquisition integration team, this position will also plan, manage and lead acquisition integration projects. This person will work closely with McAfee’s Corporate Development team and Business Unit leaders to define integration strategies and plans for acquisition targets. Once the acquisition is completed, this person will lead the integration project and manage the project across all the functional groups involved.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leads the development and implementation of integration activities
- Translates M&A objectives into project goals, plans and actions
- Defines structure/process and assembles team with subject matter expertise to manage various integration activities and continuity plans
- Develops M&A integration strategies that support global business objectives, timelines, budgets; as well as identifying and directing resources, establishing timelines, milestones, deliverables, and end-of-integration criteria
- Drives day-to-day execution of the integration process, including coaching cross-functional teams, leading weekly integration team meetings and driving proactive issue resolution
- Acts as the primary point of contact between McAfee and the
acquired company senior leadership to adjust and develop integration
plans while identifying issues, concerns, gaps to ensure alignment of
objectives
- Directs global cross-functional teams in implementing
integration plan ensuring that short-term and long-term strategic
objectives are achieved
- Ensures that project scope, schedules, resourcing and costs
are reasonable and achievable and remain within budget
- Presents summary integration plans and report progress and
key metrics to senior management
- Organizes and communicates current and future integration
process standards, best practices and guidelines across transactions
- Candidate needs to provide thought leadership to ensure short term and long term business optimization during the integration process.
- Candidate will also drive cross functional discussions to ensure integration activities are delivering on the most important value drivers identified when acquiring a company. This will entail prioritization of integration activities across all areas of the business.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills & Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in economics, business management, engineering or related discipline

-
Master in Business Administration is desired

-
Ten or more years of experience in developing and implementing M&A integration projects

-
Experience managing multiple complex initiatives and experience with complete M&A cycle

-
Experience integrating systems and processes as a result of business acquisitions and/or mergers

-
Solid knowledge of project management discipline, project management tools and analysis

-
SaaS / Cloud experience is a plus.

As the leader of the Acquisition Integration Team, strong people management skills are also required.
