Director - Strategy and Market Analysis- IT Security - CA Technologies - New York


Job description

As a Director of Strategy and Market Analysis, you will be part of a team looking at broader above product messaging and directional strategy for the business unit. You will help identify organic and inorganic opportunities and help shape broader messaging to aid sales execution and business unit positioning with industry analysts. You will also be part of team evangelizing business unit vision and positioning so experience working with press, analysts and industry influencers is helpful.

Key Responsibilities

• Help team identify and analyze broader security trends and how they may impact the business unit.
• Provide strategic insight into potential organic and inorganic opportunities
• Provide internal and external thought
• Adapt product goals based upon corporate strategy, and ensure change initiatives are planned and executed in alignment with the desired business outcomes
• Work with Product Management to identify needs
• Work within a broader strategy team to help shape go to market
• Monitor field activities and assist Business Unit Sales Specialists in sales opportunities
• Work with the Strategic Business Alliances group to identify and develop product-specific strategic partnerships that explore and maximize new revenue avenues as well as to contribute to a healthy partner ecosystem
• Collaborate with cross functional teams (including Sales, Product Marketing, Services, Customer Advocacy and Business Unit Management) to generate alignment in support of the plan
• Collaborate with other Business Units to drive overall product strategy
• Represent the Company in industry groups and at events to create internal and external awareness of functional solutions

• Domain expertise in identity and security
• Industry knowledge and contacts
• Prior experience with multi-disciplinary teams spanning strategy, product management, marketing and sales
• Strong speaking, writing and presentation skills
• Prior experience in an evangelist role
• Ability to understand and communicate the business value and ROI proposed solutions
