POSITION SUMMARY
Global Business Continuity is responsible for ensuring continuity of business for the Visa enterprise. Responsibilities of GBC, include but are not limited to:
* Preparing, maintaining, testing and exercising all plans to ensure compliance and recoverability
* Managing Visa Inc.'s Business Continuity relationship with Visa Europe and VPS
* Managing GBC Budget, Administrative matters, etc.
* Implementing the infrastructure, policies and procedures to carry out the above responsibilities in a manner that is: (i) efficient; (ii) responsive to the business; (iii) pro-active; (iv) nimble; and (v) accountable.
JOB SCOPE
The purpose of this role is to effectively manage and lead the BCM team, direct all activities of a team of 5-7 staff in multiple locations. As an integral member of the GBC management team, this individual will responsible for development and implementation of the BCM program throughout the Visa enterprise, in alignment with GBC Key Controls, policies and procedures, industry standards, and compliance requirements. Create a center of excellence to improve the quality and efficiency of BCM in order to enhance productivity and improve the reputation of the discipline.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in the development of business continuity to support enterprise wide BCM using a consistent process that follows industry standards and internal policies and procedures
* Provide a strategic vision and establish a roadmap to ensure Visa maintains global compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
* Lead a team of BCM professionals, responsible for implementing and supporting all components of the BCM program
* Lead BCM projects, developing timelines, managing project teams and driving deliverables on time and on budget
* Facilitate completion of annual BCM cycle for business units and ensure that the BCM program strictly adheres to all regulatory, audit and company requirements
* Partner with CM and ITSCM to deliver seamless service and GBC framework for continuity of operations
* Continue to analyze and evaluate potential process improvement opportunities in the BCM program
* Establish BCM strategy in line with broader corporate and GBC objectives
* Own the relationship with the IT Service Continuity Management, Crisis Management and cross departmental representatives
* Responsible for managing BCM cost center and budget activities
* Manage staff issues, including selection, goal setting, annual reviews, and compensation planning and career development
* Mature the BCM program to a position of clear, concise critical business processes, their dependencies, and measures to mitigate potential business interruptions.
* Recommend, design and manage business unit level business continuity exercises; including some exercises integrated with crisis management tabletop exercises
* Ensure all relevant information is analyzed and reported through the GBC Audit and Compliance Analyst to the Corporate Risk Committee (CRC), Audit Risk Committee (ARC) and regulatory agencies as required
* Champion BCM program across all levels of management to integrate and institutionalize BCM into all day-to-day business activities
* Minimum of 8 - 10 years experience in a business continuity environment
* Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task
* Must possess a strong track record of collaboration and teamwork beyond direct-line reporting to ensure efficient relationship with BCM and CM teams
* Ability to operate and contribute strategically
* Must be able to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing, and high pressured environment
* Highly developed problem solving and decision making skills
* Ability to effectively communicate to all levels management, staff and external stakeholders
* Ability to work creativity and aggressively to meet deadlines
* The candidate must have a high level of self-motivation, initiative and operate effectively as a team player within GBC and across different business units
* Excellent interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to interact well and build excellent working relationships with all levels of staff and management
* Must possess a strong track record of collaboration and teamwork beyond direct-line reporting to ensure efficient relationship with ITSCM and CM teams as well as plan managers
* Proficient in LDRPS
* Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
* Strong interpersonal and indirect influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of individuals at various organizational levels
* CBCP/BCI certification
