Job Description
The SAS Chief System of Systems Architect (Radar and EO) Principal Engineering Fellow exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness. The Chief Systems Architect applies and/or develops highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts and is viewed within the company as an expert in the Radar and EO technologies.
The Chief Systems Architect acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs. Plans R&D programs and recommends technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives.
The Chief Systems Architect will support design, research and development efforts for Space & Airborne Systems applications resulting in new product/business opportunities for the company. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would have a long-term negative effect on the organization's reputation and business posture.
The Chief Systems Architect may serve as a consultant to the top corporate and business segment management in long-range company planning, concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements. The Principal Engineering Fellow is the prime spokesperson on the company’s technical capabilities and future directions and is often instrumental in attracting and obtaining major new company business.
Skills
Qualifications:
• New business development for advanced technology, including direct customer interface and a familiarity with the DoD Science and Technology community;
• Proposal management, from initial pursuit and capture planning to proposal delivery;
• Extensive experience in technology program management and product development;
• minimum 16 years experience with strong hands-on, technical background in radars and EO Systems;
• Able to develop near- and long-term IRAD plans consistent with organizational strategy
