DIRECTOR - GLOBAL BRAND STRATEGY AND MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS at VeriSign


Job Description

NOTE: NO Relocation Available

• Responsible for creating corporate brand awareness, key positioning and related messaging for VeriSign and its product/service/solution offerings in targeted markets.
• Responsible for strategy and execution of corporate brand, product, co-brand (alliances/customers), and sub-brand advertising via broadcast, print, online, outdoor and mobile media.
• Oversee strategic planning, development and coordination of all marketing communications programs to promote the sale of company products and further the company's sales objectives.
• Responsible for all aspects (programs, execution, reporting) of closed-loop direct marketing activities in support of Sales pipeline
• Responsible for overseeing Corporate Events team which includes major industry/tradeshow events, Executive Briefing Center and sponsorship activities.
• Manage integrated customer reference program that supports both Sales and Marketing activities with quality references
• Manages primary advertising agency relationship and interacts with internal and external vendors to produce go-to-market deliverables.
• Responsible for all aspects of centralized brand management process and tools
• Consults with other areas of management, web marketing, international marketing, market operations and/or integrated campaign management
Skills

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 15 years related experience, including 6-8 years in progressively more senior managerial roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent additional experience required, postgraduate studies preferred.
• Experience managing marketing teams including hiring, managing performance and developing skill set of direct reports
• Ability to manage in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Ability to inspire and motivate others
• Demonstrated track record in marketing execution and product success
• Excellent verbal, written, visual communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage stakeholders
• Experience working with cross-functional and global teams
• Ability to be flexible in a highly dynamic business.
• Experience with technology marketing and marketing to range of company types
• Willingness to travel
