Job Description
Duties: AYAKM's (Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media) Director of Digital Research provides senior level research support to Turner Broadcasting System's young adult and kids digital services (websites, online video players, podcasts, mobile services and games). This position manages the tracking and reporting of key performance indicators for each of these businesses and presents insightful and strategic findings to increase consumer reach, frequency and time spent with these services. This position is also responsible for designing primary research studies to learn about consumer perceptions related to kid and young adult brands, their coverage, usability, and design and the various motivations for use of each of these services. AYAKM's Director of Digital Research will primarily support the general management, content, marketing, public relations and finance efforts of the digital businesses and will also collaborate with AYAKM's Digital Sales Research team in New York.
Skills
Qualifications: Qualified applicants will have 8+ years of professional experience, will be able to identify trends, draw valid conclusions, make insightful recommendations, and create/make dynamic presentations. An ability to undertake complex assignments and develop systematic approaches to solving key issues is required. The majority of secondary research for AYAKM's websites will be retrieved from Nielsen NetRatings and Omniture. Experience in designing custom research studies and negotiating costs is required. Strong writing, media math and presentation skills are critical. Behaviors and skills which will make an employee successful in this position include: job/industry knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, ability to solve problems, effective communication and management skills, strong organizational skills and sound judgment. A bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred. Preferred areas of study include marketing, research, communication, statistics, mathematics or accounting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Powerpoint) is essential.
