We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Director Institutional Business, Financial Institutions Group



Principal responsibilities

Develop and implement a sales strategy for institutional business in the region that leads to profitable assets under management growth within the segment
Achieve sales targets aim at increasing assets under managemnet, revenue, profile, overall share of wallet and penetration in the assigned market/sector’s institutional sector

Represent institutional business in internal senior management reports and forums, as well as external conferences
Develop effective marketing strategy for market/sector’s institutional business, in coordination with Regional Client Propositions Head
In partnership with local Head of Client Service and Sales Support, develop and aid in the implementation of a client service strategy aimed at client retention and growth
Develop and maintain relationships with external market experts including consultants, in coordination with Regional Head of Consultant Relations
Act as a senior advisor to institutional clients or prospects, providing advice on investment policies and strategies
Deliver effective client servicing and demonstrable control over the relationship, including deep understanding of the decision making framework within the organisations

Qualifications

Requirements

Proven track record in asset management institutional business development, particularly within the financial institutions group segment with experience in developing sales not limited to relationship management
Proven experience in building successful business relationships
Confidence in discussing economic theories, asset management products and our proposition to clients within the sector
Fluency in English is mandatory, proficiency in other Asian languages will be an advantage
Ability to independently deliver the defined targets for the business within the boundaries of the sales strategy and objectives
Ability to present ideas and work with stakeholders in a structured and humble way
Have a collegiate mentality and the ability to build productive working relationships with colleagues who are geographically dispersed
Ability to leverage superior product knowledge to develop advisory-based sales relationships and master the art of negotiations and closing
