Visa Developer enables financial institutions, merchants, strategic partners, and independent software vendors to more easily use our network, value-added services, and data assets. Through a best-in-class online developer experience and supporting expert services and tools, developers will be able to readily discover, access, integrate, and test what they need from Visa to create new and innovative solutions for their customers.
This individual will have significant experience in building Financial Technology products with an eye towards the API economy and digital businesses. He/She will possess the unique combination of technical and business acumen needed to drive product management & product definition work ranging from identifying use cases and business requirements, to defining API requirements, to performing market analysis, to driving solution development and defining overall business strategy. He/She will be particularly skilled at creating, articulating, and influencing customer influenced product strategy.
This role reports to the VP of Platform Strategy and Innovation, and will be the accountable for developing and executing a multi-year Visa Platform roadmap across internal stakeholders as well as client segments.

Responsibilities:
• Developing and articulating strategic product development recommendations that advance the Visa Platform initiative.
• Collecting business and technical requirements from Visa's clients, prospective customers and partners and translating them into new innovative features, services and solutions for the Visa Platform
• Collaborating with the Visa Platform Technology team by providing prioritized internal and external customer requirements and KPIs, helping to define the Plaform roadmap, and helping to drive the product development process as an active participant
• Segmenting global markets, geographies and industries to determine new business and solution opportunities.
• Establishing strong relationships with Visa’s global field resources by both capturing their regional requirements and supporting their push out to their customers
• Being a passionate and proactive driver and articulate advocate for customers and for the Visa Platform
• Creating effective communication, understanding, linkage, and prioritization of resources, across cross-functional teams
• Drive key product management functions, including customer needs assessment, competitive analysis, use-case development and cross functional team influence and leadership
• Some travel required
Qualifications
• A technical and/or business degree is mandatory; MBA or advanced degree in quantitative field is a plus
• Have deep knowledge and passion around emerging payments technologies and their potential to change commerce.
• Minimum of 10-12+ years of product management experience with API related background in the financial technology products/services industry
• Experience defining software platforms and new high technology products and successfully bringing those products to market
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strengths in meeting objectives through influence, facilitation, leadership, negotiation and team building
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key product stakeholders
• Demonstrated capabilities to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Manage the delivery of the comprehensive API product roadmap over multiple cycles.
• Strong experience in project management with emphasis on milestone definition and management
• Strategic planning expertise, the ability to manage change, and the desire to operate effectively within an aggressive organization
• Engage directly with Visa engineers/technology team to ensure the Platform offers the right capabilities in the right formats and bundles
