The role will be responsible for developing and executing on product roadmaps for core analytics service areas including: AB testing, data processing tools, measurement pipelines, and reporting. You will work with stakeholders across the organization to understand their analytics needs and own the complexity of identifying efficiencies (e.g., build once to serve multiple needs), evaluating the relative importance of each item, and translating business needs into development requirements. The role requires you to understand our suite of products, statistical methods and AB experimentation, service layer reporting. You will be the owner of ensuring we can measure feature success and are equipped with the information required to make real-time business decisions. This position is full-time based in our Oakland, CA Headquarters.
Own Pandora’s Analytic Services roadmaps (e.g., AB testing framework, data processing, big data platform tools, measurement pipelines, and automated reporting)
Work with Analytics stakeholders across all functional areas (e.g., Finance, Sales Research, Marketing, Product) to understand analytics and AB testing needs
Develop and communicate the roadmaps to stakeholders, owning the “What” and “Why” at a macro level while writing backend feature requirements with detail and clarity
Champion contribution of the Analytics Service team through regular communications and informal trainings on new tools and reports
Partner with Consumer Product Managers, Designers & Leadership to collaboratively drive end-to-end products: from analytics & reporting to front end UX
Identify ways to leverage analytics services across multiple business areas
Requirements:
5+ years software product management experience
BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
Experience with information systems and technologies (e.g. data management, databases, hadoop, SQL, etc.)
Practical experience with testing infrastructure and reporting tools
Expertise planning for and managing several large-scale, interrelated, complex technical projects and coordinating technical project team members to deliver quality results within the project deadlines
Software development experience and proficiency with command line tools and scripting languages
Analytical skills, proven ability to use data to support decisions and provide insights
Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to drive and influence key decisions
Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
A team player with a positive attitude; excellent written and oral business communication
