As a Product Area Manager you are responsible for Product Operations of a growing Google Ads business. This role provides you with a forum to showcase your technical and product management skills, and business judgment as you drive high priority initiatives to support goals and challenges of accelerating serviceability and innovative commerce products globally. This role will be responsible for interfacing directly with product, engineering and global sales leadership on a continuous basis, and allows you to make a significant impact on the direction of the business.

Responsibilities
Manage relationships with management for Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Google Technical Services, in order to influence product direction and include services POV in all aspects of the product life cycle.
Develop a vision, serviceability and support strategy for your vertical(s) and manage a team of high performing Product Operations Managers & Product Technology Managers.
Own the operations lifecycle from inception through end of life for a vertical(s) of Google’s Ad products suite. Maintain accountability for serviceability and usability of a product suite.
Partner with Product Directors, Product Managers, Global Sales (GSL) team and Regional Ad Solutions teams to develop the vertical’s release readiness plans and the go-to-market services strategy.
Identify and deliver business critical processes, tools, metrics and business insights required to create and maintain superior Ads product operations and customer usability.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of relevant high tech industry experience. Increasing responsibilities over time from individual contributor to team leadership
7 years of project management, product management, engineering management people management, or management consulting experience
Preferred qualifications:
MBA degree
A solid understanding of the retail & e-commerce eco-systems: Design and implementation of business improvement programs, including service delivery cost reduction, process innovation, revenue growth opportunity identification; project management of software cost-to-serve reduction and software product launch initiatives
Experience with owning product lifecycle, from concept to market to end of life
Excellent relationship building, collaboration and negotiation and skills; strong communication, project & product management and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, ability to communicate with management
