Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to support our talent and engagement initiatives. This position is based in our NYC headquarters and will work closely with the US talent acquisition and Human Resources teams, and support all regional organizational and leadership development initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to build on and improve existing programs and own the end-to-end execution of new, creative content and experiences for a dynamic music company.

Responsibilities:

This person will be expected to:

Develop & deliver creative, blended learning solutions – this includes creating and curating digital content that stands on its own and/or supports live events in a variety of formats (key note presentations, lunch and learns, roundtable/group coaching, classroom style, interactive workshops)
Comprehensive onboarding and new hire experience programs – logistics, culture, networking
Understanding our business – structure, culture and current events in our industry
Professional development – problem solving, creativity, presentation, communication, etc
Management development – from the basics to more targeted and advanced topics

Connect our employee value proposition to learning activities and gather ongoing feedback from employees, spot engagement trends and propose solutions/interventions
Marketing and communications for various initiatives and (as appropriate) recommending and managing vendors for design, delivery and content production
Diversity and inclusion lens to all work - design, language, content, participation, etc
Evaluation and analysis current and new training and development programs – continue to push our thinking forward and recommend ways to keep our approach fresh and effective
Proactive collaboration with other offices to support local initiatives and find ways to connect remote employees into NYC-based events virtually when possible

Manage learning operations and systems to support our talent development and engagement efforts
Implementation and ongoing administration of learning content and registration platforms, survey tools
Event logistics, budget, invoices, external partner relationships
Regular reports and calendars to update HR & business on L&D program participation, impact and upcoming opportunities
Qualifications:

The right person for this role has demonstrated passion and strength in:

L&D EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 - 6 years in learning & development roles in a dynamic environment– including true ownership and execution of design, development, execution and measurement
PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Planning and executing learning and development initiatives/events – managing multiple projects at once and thriving with both long term planning and immediate needs
PRODUCING RESULTS: Moving from ideas to action quickly and constantly moving things forward
USING TECHNOLOGY: Comfort with basic productivity software (MS Office), Learning Management Systems (Bridge is a plus!) and platforms (online, mobile, social, etc), webinar/video conferencing tools
DETAIL ORIENTATION: Relentless quality control (grammar, voice, accuracy) and design application (branding, style aesthetics) in content and experiences
COLLABORATIVE SELF MANAGEMENT: Driven and motivated self-starter who can work autonomously AND manage up and across – building and maintaining strong relationships will be crucial to success
PRESENCE: Confident presentation skills and ability to comfortably speak in front of a group – including senior level leaders; Ability to communicate effectively and flexibly with a variety of audiences
CURIOSITY: A habit of self-development through reading, networking and participating in local events with providers and peers; Interest in music and learning about our business and artists is a plus
