The Director, Web Development will be responsible for overseeing, cultivating and uniting the Herbalife web presence within the Corporate Communications Department. The position holder must understand web communication, e-commerce and deliver value through a strategic approach. This Director, Web Development position requires an individual who has experience project managing corporate, product/brand, and e-commerce websites from planning to launch and maintenance. Knowledge of front- and back-end development, and site build and maintenance best practice required.

Establish scope for all web projects by studying strategic business drivers; discovering and validating business and technical requirements and parameters; obtaining input from subject-matter experts; examining and recommending changes to current business practices; developing and writing proposals.
Develop Web solution by formulating objectives; planning project life-cycle deliverables and resource availability and application; preparing installation and modification specifications; leading the exploration, evaluation, and design of technical solutions.
Evaluate technologies and strategies to further engage web visitors; write specs for new features and functionality; implements solutions by monitoring project progress; tracking action items; conducting design and implementation reviews; examining, researching, and resolving issues;
Lead site evolution by preempting potential areas of concern, escalating issues as necessary, managing team and interdepartmental support.
Assures quality online solutions by developing and completing test plans; maintaining project and technical documentation.
Meet cost standards through strong project management, identifying useful emerging technologies, understanding where budget is best spent and implementing cost-saving actions.
Provide project status reports by designing, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

10+ years’ experience with demonstrable of web and application development skills, prioritizing user experience with demonstrable experience maintaining microsites and enterprise sites for business and eCommerce
7 years’ of experience in leading design and implementation of complex web applications
7 years’ experience in website project management
5 years’ of experience managing direct reports
Experience with complex, multi-national application implementations
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
