The Manager of Scheduling and backlog management is responsible for the continuous improvement of Cisco’s Global Order Promising capability, a high profile center of excellence that has direct impact to the customer experience, supply chain planning, and manufacturing execution.
• Lead the team to drive improvement in Cisco’s order promising capability with direct impact to metrics, including Scheduling Touches, OTD, LAS, and variance to Request Date
• Manage a direct staff of 7-11 supply chain professionals and make sure they are engaged and developing in their career
• Be the primary interface for the Customer and Partner services organization for supply chain scheduling and escalation issues
• Manage the fiscal and calendar quarter requirements of the company to meet our market share and fiscal goals
Minimum Qualifications
● Strong understanding of all aspects of Cisco’s end-to-end Order Fulfillment process, including Order Booking , Order Scheduling, Backlog Management, Production, and Logistics
• Deep understanding of different order scheduling methods, including lead-time based, supply-based, CTP, ATP, etc., the pros and cons of each, and when to use one over another
● Knowledgeable about different fulfillment methods such as Configure to Order, Build to Stock, ODM, etc and the different requirements of each
● Ability to influence effectively cross functionally to drive change
● Excellent executive communication skills to manage SVP customer escalations and provide timely updates to the executive team
Desired Skills
● Strong communicator (written and verbal) and ability to create executive friendly presentations on complex business and supply chain topics and deliver presentations to various levels
● Analytics – ability to aggregate large amounts of data, filter for importance, and analyze, dissect and tie together in a context relevant “story” designed to drive action
● Prior Management experience a plus
