We are currently seeking a Director of BI & Analytics to lead engineering efforts related to data warehousing, business intelligence and advanced analytics solutions. This is a unique opportunity to establish and execute Vibes’ data and analytics strategy for our next chapter of scale, growth and expansion. In our high-growth environment, this role requires a unique individual who can move seamlessly between strategic and tactical responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for advancing Vibes’ DW/BI and analytics practice through the assembly of the right people, processes, technologies and tools
Responsible for the support, planning, and evolution of Vibes’ DW/BI infrastructure
Recruit, guide, mentor and develop a high performance team
Collaborate with Product Development, Customer Analytics, Sales and Customer Success teams to understand market opportunities and customer needs related to data, reporting and analytics
Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to support data dependencies, integration needs and reporting requirements of various Catapult modules and features
Act as lead data architect
Develop, administer, and implement data governance policies and procedures for ensuring the security, quality, integrity and availability of the company's data
Establish and evolve the technology strategy and architecture needed to support our data & analytics 2-3 year vision; lead the technology efforts to make that vision a reality
Provide strong domain-based experience with toolsets to help get the most from current and next-generation data technologies
Lead the migration to new data technologies for structured, unstructured, streaming and high volume data
Be an active participant of both the Tech & Product leadership team as well as Vibes’ overall leadership team. Demonstrate command for company strategic and annual goals, and fuel other leadership team members’ understanding of current and future data strategy and value proposition
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field
8+ years relevant experience designing and delivering DW/BI and analytics solutions
Expert knowledge designing entire data warehousing/business intelligence architecture end-to-end including data integration architecture, database schema designs, dimensional data modeling, query performance turning & optimization, data reporting/visualization
Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems, including: MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL
Experience with BI reporting and dashboarding tools, such as: Microsoft SSRS, Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, Pentaho Business Analytics, Tableau and Birst
Well versed in latest technology trends related to big data, predictive analytics and deep learning
Working knowledge with large-scale data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Cassandra or similar technologies
Familiarity with statistical analysis and predictive analytics languages and libraries, such as: R, SAS, Python and Mahout
Strong software development background and a desire to craft well designed, scalable and maintainable reporting and analytics software solutions
Experience applying Agile methodologies to develop and deliver BI/DW and analytics solutions
