Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President for its Bank Risk Management function, which oversees enterprise risk management for Morgan Stanley Bank, National Association. The primary responsibility of this newly-created position is to support risk management and governance functions of this rapidly-growing national bank. Coordination and reporting of qualitative and quantitative components that define the Bank’s risk appetite will be a key responsibility of this role.
Primary Responsibilities
-Manage the development and production of information that will be reported to the Bank Risk Committee and the Board Risk Committee
-Prepare meeting agendas, compile materials, and coordinate with presenters in connection with Committee meetings
-Coordinate quarterly Risk Assessment updates across each of the Bank’s product lines and risk categories by partnering with risk coverage owners and front line business units
-Manage CRM regulatory exam responsibilities related to the Bank’s Risk Governance Framework
-Work with Credit Policy Team to update Bank’s Risk Governance Framework document
-Work collaboratively with Treasury and Risk’s CCAR/DFAST coordinators to deliver Risk owned components
-Help track and manage Key Risk Indicators and Limits supporting the Bank’s Risk Appetite Statement as required by the OCC’s Heightened Standards
-Partner with sister-Bank counterpart to ensure consistency of reporting content, as applicable
-Produce ad-hoc reports as necessary for senior management and governance bodies

QUALIFICATIONS
Skills required (essential)
-Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience (Risk Management in Financial Services industry preferred)
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power Point and Word
-Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
-Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills
-Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Motivated self-starter able to thrive in a high energy, collaborative, team-oriented environment
