As the Modern Application Landscape Program Director within Portfolio Delivery, you will bring the combination of your deep program management experience and solution delivery background to deliver against our transformative Technology vision. Working alongside technology executives and program leaders, you will set aggressive program schedules and align scope, priorities, resources, and deliverables, and drive the best work from our project teams to deliver solutions that optimize the business of technology and boost value for Nike.

Your Role on the Team
As Modern Application Landscape Program Director, you will be part of the centralized Portfolio Delivery leadership team within Nike Technology. The successful candidate will:
Develop and implement an overall program management strategy and roadmap for their area, ensuring alignment with the Technology strategy and budget.
Define program and project goals, scope, approach, and overall task plan including providing clarity on critical path tasks.
Effectively manage complex program and project dependencies and constraints.
Responsible to provide regular reports to Technology senior leadership on the status and health of the Modern Application Landscape Program.
Continuously drive improvements of communication cadence and reporting status of the Modern Application Landscape Program.
Create and drive adoption of program and project delivery metrics, trending, and analytics to ensure program and project health in the critical areas of scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Use data to drive fact-based decision making within the program and projects.
Act as an escalation point for complex problems. Recommend and implement corrective action, as necessary, to improve program performance.
Drive implementation and adoption of disciplined and consistent program and project delivery processes at all levels of the organization, including status reporting, work planning, resource planning, change control, risk and issue management.
Lead a team of FTE and/or Contractor Project Managers to deliver high quality solutions, on time.
Coach and mentor project team members in an inspirational and effective manner.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Portfolio Delivery and is an integral member of the Portfolio Delivery Leadership Team.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or 10 years of experience in this profession, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Masters degree in related field (ie. MBA, MFM, MS, other) preferred.
At least 7 years of professional experience within Business, IT, or a related field.
At least 5 years of program management and/or project management leadership roles. Project management certification preferred (PMP and/or PgMP).
Experience working with the HP Project and Portfolio Management Center (HP PPM) or other industry leading PPM application preferred.
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred.
Experience with managing large scale software implementations.
Demonstrated experience managing team(s) of Full Time Employees and contractors.
Proven track record of being results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals.
Highly analytical with ability to establish processes that drive fact-based decision making
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict.
Proven presentation and facilitation skills.
Demonstrated expertise of building consensus across business partners and technology leaders, and influencing successful outcomes.
Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others.
Experience working successfully in a highly matrixed work environment.
