Job Description:
Lead a small geographically-dispersed infrastructure and helpdesk operations group, and be accountable for multi-site data centers with a medium sized staff of engineers while ensuring network and systems remain available and within performance guidelines for all staff.
Objectives
The Position will be expected to understand and anticipate the needs of the Company. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a holistic approach to the IT environment accommodating the Company’s business units deploying resources accordingly.
Specific Objectives Include
• Oversee the project management and day-to-day IT operations.
• Collaborate with the CFO and business unit leaders for successful completion of business initiatives covering a broad range of IT needs.
• Lead planning sessions, prioritize, and coordinate such initiatives with business unit operations and IT to ensure successful project implementation.
• Management and oversight of establishing policy and process as it relates to IT infrastructure and IT customer service and equipment.
• Remain current with regard to developments in the IT environment, including but not limited to security, infrastructure, business continuity and communications.
• Effectively communicate the goals and objectives of management to IT team members in connection with helping the team achieve its goals and support the business.
• Bring a client-focused perspective to the IT operations.
• Establish and manage strong relationships with critical vendors and outsourced partners.
• Lead, coach, supervise and develop staff as required.
• Work with the various business units to assist with due diligence and RFP requests.
• Oversee and manage business continuity and planning disaster recovery processes. Ensure that the IT environment would be operational as required in the event of an emergency.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in related discipline
• At least 10 years overall experience in IT.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience
• Strong Working Knowledge Of
Windows/UNIX, Citrix, VMWare, EMC, Cisco, storage and Data Center management
Storage environment in managed enterprise including SAN, NAS, tiered storage, and file virtualization appliances running on EMC and Netapp housing 50TB of data.
• Excellence in organizational management, project management, with the ability to hire, coach, develop, and retain a strong team.
• A team player who operates in a collaborative style, aligning people and strategy. Able to build strong relationships internally to advance the business units.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including experience working with senior and members of the Company.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a small, multi-location team and entrepreneurial environment.
