Director Market Research Prudential Newark


Job description
Reporting to the Vice President in Global Strategic Research, this individual will serve as the Prudential Advisors’ lead and will also support customer experience and operations research for the Individual Life Insurance business. Responsibilities include creating, managing and presenting forward-thinking market research that supports the company's efforts to better serve customer's needs and provide new opportunities for business growth.




BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
A minimum of 7 years market research experience in corporate or consulting agency
A minimum of 3 years of financial services/B2B industry experience preferred
Customer experience research experience a plus
In-depth experience with designing and implementing a wide array of custom research programs, including but not limited to new product and service development, brand, advertising & positioning studies, awareness & usage, competitor analyses, customer satisfaction research methodologies, and specialized behavioral and attitudinal research that can help inform strategies and thought leadership work
Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to excellence, capable of initiating new projects and responding effectively to team & client requests.
Strong consultative nature and negotiation skills, with ability to separate client wants and needs
Clear, concise and confident written, oral, and presentation ability
Proven track record of delivering actionable insights succinctly
Conceptual thinker with the ability to turn data into actionable, business-relevant insights
Excellent collaborator with the ability to build confidence and develop relationship with clients
Proficient with SPSS, Excel and other MS Office products
