Job Description
The purpose of the Subject Matter Experts on the Enterprise Architecture (EA, SME) team is to represent and provide direction for the variety of technologies and disciplines contained within the MGI IT organization. The EA, SMEs guide the standardization and adoption of technologies into IT services by leading (or consulting on) the creation of IT solution designs. Each EA, SME team member ensures consistency, efficiency, security, and supportability of the environment within the scope of their unique domain expertise.
The key artifacts produced (or consulted on) by all EA, SME team members are Candidate Architecture Proposals (CAPs), Solution Architecture Specifications (SASs), and Detailed Designs (DDs) for IT service solutions. This role requires both significant technical expertise and collaboration skills with both application development architects and infrastructure engineering teams. Specifically, this role is responsible for supporting enterprise meta data catalogs and design of data movement through the MoneyGram enterprise that is consistent with the security classification, access controls, and data velocity business requirements.
Primary Responsibilities For Enterprise ArchitectDirector
Resource manager for assigned EA, SME resources. This responsibility includes tracking time reports, performance reviews, and human resource development.
Contribute the standardization of EA, SME SDLC artifacts for which the team is responsible.
Allocation and prioritization of resource requests for EA, SME resources.
Regular reporting of team performance to SLDC related tasks and artifacts.
Responsible for budget performance of the EA, SME team.
Lead international virtual teams of IT professions to develop architectures for comprehensive technology solutions that meet both functional and non-functional MoneyGram business requirements.
Support the EA, CTO role to align technical solutions and business processes to drive business efficacy and business efficiency.
Educational Requirements
BS/BA in a technology related field
Professional certification in Enterprise Architecture discipline (such as TOGAF or equivalent)
Required Skills/Experience
15+ years in IT
Management/Leadership experience. Preferably with international teams
ROI/TCO Analysis experience
Both written and verbal skills to communicate complex technical solutions to business leadership
ETL Skills with Infomatica
Reporting Skills with Cognos desired
Statistical analysis skills desired
