In this role you will be responsible for:
Directs the efficient operation of the Department of Protective Services for the Medical Center Campus
Plans, organizes, and directs administrative activities relating to the department; develops and enforces policies and procedures essential to maintain a safe and secure environment; oversees staffing and deployment of security and safety personnel; and administers the parking program
Serves as Safety Officer for the Medical Center Campus and Germantown campuses

Provides direction to the occupational and environmental safety efforts of the department through strategic planning, review and implementation of programs, designed to maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal occupational and environmental safety regulations, with particular emphasis on requirements as set forth by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)


If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
Master's degree preferred with emphasis on Criminal Justice Law Enforcement, or Public Administration
Eight (8) to ten (10) years experience in protective service field, preferably healthcare related.
At least three (3) years experience managing other individuals

Physical Demands:
Physical Requirements: Extensive. Must be physically able to investigate conditions in the field in order to properly oversee work of contractors and ensure code compliance
Visual Requirements: Full vision with assistance of corrective lens as required
Hearing Requirements: Partial at minimum
Working Conditions: Subject to long periods of sitting, standing or walking. Extremes in temperature. Travel between entities required
