Prudential's Individual Life Insurance business has an opening for a Director, Strategic Initiatives. This position will lead the execution of key strategic initiatives within the Life Distribution organization. This role reports to the VP, Strategy, Sales Development and Support. Preferred location for this position is Newark, NJ.

Key responsibiliites of the position:
Lead key initiatives and cross-functional projects within Distribution and Sales, and across related functions
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to solve issues and identify opportunities that create value, maximize growth and improve business performance
Create and deliver presentations to senior Individual Life executives
Work closely with key partner organizations such as Product, Service Delivery, Finance, HR, Risk, Legal and Compliance

Additional qualifications include:
Detailed knowledge of life insurance strongly preferred
Exceptional problem solving skills, including issue identification, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and creative development of actionable recommendations
Structured approach to project management
Ability to advise and influence senior executives and other internal clients through formal presentations as well as more informal interactions
Expertise in building relationships across a large organization
Strong communicator, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to balance the strategic and tactical aspects of the job
Proven ability to support innovation and change
Self-starter who is able to work independently and in a team
Highly proficient at both Excel and PowerPoint
Must be willing to travel as needed
