Director - Data Analytics - Adara - Mountain View
Job description
ADARA is searching for a Director, Data Analytics candidate for its headquarter in Mountain View. The ideal candidate will be expected to perform deep analytics and provide actionable recommendations to support and grow ADARA’s business. The candidate will collaborate and support other key stakeholders in the organization such as Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Product and Engineering.
Responsibilities:
Lead aspects of analytics function and develop a close-loop analytic processes that includes performance analysis and business recommendation
Perform analysis that improve targeting, segmentation, and campaign effectiveness based on campaign results
Develop scenarios to understand trade-offs and impacts among multiple strategies
Ability to support other areas in the organization ranging from Business Development, Sales, Account Management, and AdOps
Work closely with Engineering team on targeting implementation in production environment
Extract, create, and organize data files used for analytical and modeling purposes
Be a thought leader and consultative resource for optimizing marketing campaigns and product development
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
Analytical Skills
8+ years of hands-on analytics experience preferably in the online advertising industry
Ability to conduct large scale analysis through all stages: understand business goal and strategy, formulate analytic approach, perform data extraction and exploration, and translate results into actionable items
Experience in improving campaign targeting criteria
Proficient in SQL; must possess strong understanding and experience in database environment
Proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications
Strong experience in Business Intelligence tools
Business Acumen
Possess long-term vision to further analytic efforts ranging from new data utilization, tools needed, and its application to the business
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Collaborate effectively with various areas of the organization to accomplish common goals
Possess strong business acumen and the ability to explain problems and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audience
Knowledge of online advertising ecosystem and relevant performance metrics
Others
Highly data driven, willing to roll-up the sleeves and dive head first into our data
Great organization skills with high attention to detail
Ability to self-motivate, prioritize work, and excel in a fast-paced start-up environment
Previous experience in travel industry (preferred)
Previous experience in managing a team (preferred)
Education
Minimum of Bachelor degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, math, statistics, economics, etc.
