Job description
Provide information to operational leadership to ensure that they have to requisite information to carry out their responsibilities in a lawful manner.
Ensure internal controls are capable of preventing and detecting significant instances or patters of illegal, unethical or improper conduct.
Responsible to develop and manage to the annual Compliance Work Plan, Risk Management Work Plan, and Audit work Plan.
Proactively and strategically facilitates and directs organization wide compliance and risk management program to ensure compliance with Federal, state and ACHC Requirements for RT/DME and Infusion lines of business.
Creates and maintains a robust, but appropriately focused, audit schedule across all departments. Identifies trends and recommends corrective action. Monitors corrective action plans and ensure appropriate outcomes.
Oversees and coordinates the regulatory survey process for ACHC, including any corrective action plans, as well as CMS, MACS and Auditors.
Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep executive management and the board of directors informed on the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
Maintains an effective compliance communication program for the Organization including promoting the use of the Compliance Hotline, heightened awareness of compliance expectations and understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.

Acts as HIPAA privacy and security officer for the organization.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Advanced degree in health management, risk management or law helpful.
Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a healthcare risk management/compliance role.
In-depth knowledge of applicable State and Federal healthcare regulations.
Effective collaboration skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to present key information in a succinct and clear manner.
