Job description
As Director of Software Engineering in Test, you'll be leading a team of testers and automation engineers to maximum code coverage with no regression. You'll be taking a hard look at all of our QA processes, analyzing them for inefficiencies and understanding the risks. Your deep knowledge of our product and SDLC will give you the insight you need to structure your team, and you'll hire the people you need to get stuff done. Most importantly, you'll be designing for quality across the organization.
Your tools and processes will be used not only by your group, but also by the entire engineering team. This position requires a very thorough, detail-oriented problem solver with a modern understanding of software quality and processes. If you have strong opinions about how companies like Google, Facebook, and Valve ensure software quality, then we want to hear your ideas. The qualified applicant will be able to articulate software quality concepts at a high level, and will be able to translate ideas into action.
What The Job Entails
Take ownership of quality at a high level, keeping regression out of our product.
You don't fight fires - you prevent them.
Manage a team of test and automation engineers, ensuring that they are used effectively.
Restructure, reassign, and hire engineers as needed to bring your vision into focus.
Analyze and review test processes, making sure that our product coverage is complete and risks are minimized.
Coordinate with the project and development managers to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goal.

Desired Skills and Experience
Our Ideal Candidate
At least 5+ years experience working in a leadership capacity.
Expert in software quality and the SDLC.
Superb communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
Solid understanding of security and performance on the web.
