Job description
TuneCore is seeking a qualified candidate to join our technology team. This person will contribute to the formulation of TuneCore’s technology strategy, implement new systems and architectural components, and monitor and maintain infrastructure operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with software development, product and finance teams to create optimal technology infrastructure for a growing internet startup.
Be responsible for relationships with technology vendors’ sales and support staffs.
Evaluate and recommend solutions to improve the company's technology platform.
Build, monitor and maintain hosted web servers running Linux, Apache, Passenger, Ruby, and Rails.
Build, monitor, and maintain hosted web servers running Linux, Apache, Python, and Django.
Build, monitor, and maintain hosted MySQL database servers.
Build, monitor, and maintain Amazon Web Services EC2 server arrays.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
7+ years experience in Linux systems administration and/or database administration.
BA/BS degree or higher required.
Prior experience in a significant subset of the following technologies, tools and services:
Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS)
Amazon Web Services (particularly EC2, S3, and IAM)
Apache Web Server
Phusion Passenger
Git
Ruby
Rails
Capistrano
Python
MySQL
RRDTool
RightScale
NewRelic
