Job Description
The Client Solutions Director is a creative, solutions-oriented expert who partners with sales, marketing, and sales development teams to identify, architect and support the execution of unique creative solutions for Fortune 1000 customers. As a subject matter expert in marketing and advertising, this role’s leadership will energize multiple Client Solutions teams in order to drive game-changing growth within AOL Advertising. Aligned regionally, this expert will also apply creative innovation accross the needs of advertisers to create compelling solutions and exceed advertising revenue goals.
Responsibilities:
• Create strategic and scalable advertising solutions by integrating various AOL networks, sponsorships, market research, and data targeted advertising & analytics into a comprehensive ''story'' and customer-centric advertising solution
• Provide thought leadership around the evolution of advertising, emerging trends in digital marketing, new technologies and platforms, branded content integration and syndication, and social media
• Strategically assess the competitive landscape and prioritize revenue opportunities
• Build relationships to facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration with key internal constituents, including sales, programming, product, promotions and operations teams
• Partner with sales leadership to manage the daily needs of the marketplace and sales force in order to increase regional and category reveue
• Lead and motivate various Client Solutions teams (including Sales Planners, Strategy Managers, Program Producers and Media Innovation leads) to innovate cross-platform solutions that drive incremental revenue
Skills
Basic Requirements:
• Subject matter expert in Digital Marketing (e.g. online media, rich media integration, social media, SEO/SEM, online sponsorships, audience engagenment, etc.)
• Strong experience in advertising and the development of integrated marketing plans
• Fundamental understanding of consumer behavior and the development of actionable insights
• Passion for the changing media landscape and the ability to champion new marketing channels or initiatives
• History of creating innovative concepts that have positively impacted revenue
• A proven collaborator able to build strong relationships across multiple business units with a great track record of leading executive level processes
Preferred Requirements:
• A minimum of 10 years of combined brand marketing, media strategy, sales development or advertising agency experience
• 4+ years in the advertising space with a proven track record of creating compelling, successful cross-platform marketing solutions
• Ability to think strategically, with a penetrating understanding of the needs of a marketer, and creatively translate these needs into compelling advertising concepts and programs
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Experience working in a fast paced, matrixed organization
• BA/BS required, MBA a plus
