Job Description
Cisco CSIRT seeks a Manager of Operations to lead a local team of information security investigators in the new global Computer Security Operations Center (CSOC). This is an opportunity to define and manage a highly visible security operations function with global Cisco-wide and customer impact. This manager will have the following core responsibilities:
Manage a staff of 10-15 security investigators
Manage escalations for critical investigations
Liaison with theatre staff for local investigations
Manage CSIRT operations and investigations according to best practices, maintaining the highest quality and confidentiality
Coordinate critical, sensitive incidents spanning multiple geographies
Demonstrate enduring quality and highly efficient operations to internal and external clients, including occasional audits
Conduct executive briefings for Cisco customers
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of security incidents, the state of malware and hacking, and how to conduct security investigations. The candidate must also have demonstrated experience successfully managing a team in a global company.

Supervises the activities of investigators with responsibility for repeatable quality, client satisfaction, and investigative integrity
Manage workload among team members
Provide guidance to Cisco product development teams - representing CSIRT in product evaluations and continuous feedback
Mentors other managers, engineers, and investigators in security and Cisco practices
Assumes leadership role in CSPO or cross-functional teams to drive service delivery and/or product improvements
Represents CSPO in EBC's and ISOC tours
Participates in major cross-functional projects affecting Cisco business, product, or service leadership
Provides management guidance to all levels of exempt employees on accomplishing goals
Work is reviewed and measured based on attainment of objectives and overall success of department
Required Skills
Experience in information security and investigations
Experience leading global teams requiring urgent response and operational expertise
Proven experience managing staff and career development
Demonstrated industry awareness, including common exploits and security breach trends
Demonstrated ability to manage critical, time-sensitive incidents requiring coordination across multiple teams and geographies
Experience with local and multiple country regulations governing information security and handling of sensitive data
Desired Skills/Certifications
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Experience with services management and operations processes, such as ITIL, CMM, and Six Sigma
Proven business and technical expertise and extensive experience with information security
Demonstrates strategic skills
Excellent working relationships with other organizations within Cisco, with Cisco partners and customers, and with appropriate business units
Ability to formulate and deliver complex presentations within Cisco and to customer's via Cisco's Executive Briefing Program (EBC)
Education
Typically requires BSCS or BSEE or equivalent plus 3+ years-related experience.
