Job Description
Reporting to Senior Manager of eBI (enterprise BI) Applications team, the Sr. BI Analyst will work with business to gather and analyze BI requirement, functional analysis, as well as develop analytical reports and dashboard based on the BI requirements. BI Analyst will work closely with IT Project Manager and IT management to ensure the success of the BI projects for their responsible areas. This position will be especially focus on Customer Autosupport Business Intelligence (Autosupport data is call-home feature from NetApp customers’ filers and caches) and analytics areas, and partner with cross-functional eBI installed base team, product operations analytics team and customer intelligence Autosupport analytics team.
-Work with cross functional and field (GEO, country) business on the BI requirements in their respective areas. Share the IT BI roadmap and plan with business, influence business and align BI requirements that aligns with the NetApp eBI strategy, architecture and roadmap
-Perform requirement analysis and gap analysis, coordinate with Enterprise Data Warehouse(EDW) team and eBI architecture team to map BI capabilities with requirements and plan for new BI functionalities
-Work closed with the Enterprise Data Warehouse team and BI architecture team to understand the metadata and presentation objects that support the business requirement and process
-Coordinate with the BI Architecture team and BI Data / EDW Competency Center on requirements that will impact on EDW and on BI application and security
-Build the BI reports and dashboard in the BI platform and interact with business BI team to roll out the analytics in their business areas
-Participate in the cross-functional team discuss of requirements that will impact on Enterprise BI as well as other teams
-Follow the SDLC process that project manager and Project Management Office required for the project life cycle
Skills
-Experience in analysis work in very large Business Intelligence project or Data Warehouse project, with good understand of BI project process.
-In-depth knowledge of installed base, sales, marketing, product operations domain area knowledge. Nice to have NetApp Storage, AutoSupport or NetApp product line knowledge.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skill, able to articulate and present BI requirements in clear fashion to both business and IT audiences.
-Intensive experience of one of the BI applications, OBIEE (formerly Siebel Analytics), Business Object or Hyperion. OBIEE experience preferred experience.
-Strong team work attitude and ability to face difficult decisions.
-Strong motivation to leverage the Business Intelligence to enhance NetApp business value and improve business process.
-Ability to maintain strong partnership with business stakeholders.
